Relay Wins Yet Again! Fourth Industry Oscar for Trophy Cabinet

We are celebrating winning our FOURTH industry Oscar - a 'Recruiter Award For Excellence 2008' - in the Best Marketing Campaign category.

The Recruiter Award is the latest honour for a company that already has an enviable array of silverware in its trophy cabinet after eleven years of operation. 

The winning project was our highly successful We're Ten Years Old campaign.  Ostensibly a profile-raiser announcing the company's tenth anniversary in 2007, it presented the many benefits of being a Relay candidate or client.

Designed to engage on the human level, it employed iconic childhood imagery - paper ‘planes, Rubik's cubes and Space Hoppers; clever allusions to the positive attributes of childhood; and tie-ins with other tenth anniversaries in the news (e.g. Tony Blair's reign).  The result was massively raised awareness, impressive business uplift and an increased bank of superior candidates.

With entries for a Recruiter gong up 40 per cent on last year, competition was fierce and, as with previous victories, Relay was up against leading national and international players.  Managing director, Steven Street said: "We place great emphasis on original, effective marketing communications that register with target audiences, rather than being clever for the sake of it. 

"As such, we have always been confident enough in our efforts to pit them against those of much larger groups whose marketing budgets dwarf ours.  Punching above our weight makes winning all the sweeter." 

Steven was presented with the award by comedian, Dara O'Briain, at a ceremony attended by the sector's leading players, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Far from resting on our laurels, though, we have just completed an entry for the UK Skills' National Training Awards.
