BorgWarner’s Steve Jarvis and Relay’s Julie Bates present Lee Brook with his new iPod

The latest lucky winner is Lee Brook, who is on a long-term contract as an assembly operator with BorgWarner Turbo Systems at the Euroway Estate, Bradford.  He won an iPod Touch after opting to take his pay advice by email and will be able to pick it up on the device.

Lee was presented with his prize by BorgWarner Business Team Manager, Steve Jarvis, and Relay Business Manager, Julie Bates.

The advantages of electronic payslips to both staff and employers are numerous:-

  • The cost and effort of hard-copy delivery are eliminated
  • Reduced energy and avoided paper use are environmentally friendly
  • Formats are secure and encrypted
  • Guaranteed real time delivery
  • Pay histories are easily archived, saved and retrieved
  • Details can be readily shared if needed e.g. with banks or mortgage providers
  • E-messages and newsletters can be included in the pay mail
  • Mobile and international workers can pick up advice securely anywhere

BorgWarner is one of the world's top suppliers to the automotive industry, with clients including prestige marques, Daimler, Deutz and DAF and industrial giant, Caterpillar.  HR Manager, Christine Cliffe, said:  "We have a well-earned reputation for streamlined processes and raised efficiencies and such e-delivery systems are a perfect fit with these ideals."

Relay claims that the push touches both on worker reward and recognition schemes and continuous improvement for employers.  Managing Director, Steven Street, said: "By making the administrative function quicker, easier and more cost-effective, we can devote more of our energies to raised service levels for staff and clients alike."
